Buenos Aires

I visited Buenos Aires in November, 2010. It was an amazing week of exploring, eating, and relaxing. I absolutely loved BA, and can't wait to go back.

Drinking

Antares Palermo

Great brewery in palarmo. Good beer flights and decent food (although I only had appetizers).

Other

Argentine Polo Association

I'd never seen a polo match, so it was a fun day. But not a must do if you dont have much time in BA

Favorite

Estadio Alberto J. Armando

It's mecca for Futbol fans in BA. If you are in town when a game is happening, definitely make plans to go, although we heard it's best to go with a guide. Things get pretty rowdy and it's good to go with someone who knows what's going on. If there's no game, they give great tours.

Other
Favorite

Feria de San Telmo

Every sunday there is a massive flea market in San Telmo. I went two weeks in a row. Tons of vendors, tons of food. People everywhere. As always, be aware of pick pockets.

Drinking
Favorite

La Cabrera

I went to La Cabrera for my birthday dinner. Absolutely delicious but enormous portions. Do as the menu says and order one entree per TWO people. So so good.

Other

Olsen

Great place for brunch. Good blend of inside and outside atmosphere. On a sunny day, it's really a great spot.

Other

Palermo Hollywood

Palermo Hollywood is the area I rented an apartment in. It was great. Cute little neighborhood that felt very safe and comfortable.

Sightseeing
Favorite

Recoleta Cemetery

It's a tourist destination for a reason. I've never been in a cemetery like it. Yes, Evita is buried here, but the entire place is amazing.

Eating

Tegui

I got there around 12 AM and still had to wait 30 mins. I split their 5 course tasting menu. It's an expensive place, but totally worth doing as a splurge.

Drinking

Thelonious Club

This was a really cool, low key jazz club. If you're in the neighborhood, it's definitely worth a visit.
